It's a bird... No it's a plane!

So.... I had all the good intentions of posting here- daily- about my trip to Califirnia. But obviously I had a blast and was so very distracted and completely forgot!
Anywho!

The car made it safely to Birmingham and I made it safely to the airport. Security was no where as bad as I thought it would be. No, the bad part, the hard part, was the waiting! It made me nervous.

So, I boarded, founded my lovely window seat (which was really awesome), buckled in and settled back to experience my first flight! And I have to say...take off was a bit rough. It reminded me of a roller coaster, which I do joy like, by the way. My ears had to pop, but once we were up.... I was in the clouds!! And it was frellin' awesome! Suffice to say, for a first flight... It was awesome. Even the landing. Totally smooth.

Thankfully I had inside help at DFW (as on inside my phone), since I was so nervous about find the right gate and not bring late and all that jazz. What do you know... They were side by side! And the layover- not as long as I thought, before I knew it I was back on another plane getting ready to fly to San Diego!

Although it seemed like forever, we finally got up in the air and HOLY POPTARTS BATMAN!! Looking out if the window at night was beautiful! Lights from the cities were so fudgin' amazing!

Alas, that flight was not as comfortable. The person seated I front of me decided that he would recline. Which squished me and I could not even lower my tray to hold my drink.... Not to mention it was an aisle dear. But the sailor next to me was friendly and as socialable as one could be on a late night flight.

....And two hours later we were landing in San Diego. I was so ready to be off a plane. So past ready to see my boyfriend. But at the same time... It was surreal. I was in California! I hade made it!

The weather was wonderful. I was starving. I got to see my man and he fed me Arby's. And gave me flowers!
